DESCRIPTION
Bloodletter is a strategic deck-builder where cunning and craft are needed to vanquish evil. A deck-builder most strategic, its roots lie entwined with the arcane art of tarot, remedies of the flesh, and the surrounding superstitions.
Evil entities have crept into the hearts of the common folk, who teeter upon the brink of madness and death. Only thy bathhouse stands as a bastion against the creeping corruption.
UNIQUENESS
- DAY-EVENING-NIGHT CYCLE!
BLOODLETTER offers a turnbased strategic challenge in the form of a daytime cycle. Each part of the day offering different interactions: first healing villagers, then utilising their deckbuilding abilities and lastly the entity, your opponent, gets to spread its sickening influence over the villagers
- HEAL VILLAGERS!
Take up the mantle of a barber surgeon and use your deck of cards to heal villagers from last night’s attack as well as prepare them for the next night to come. Each of the ten villagers comes equipped with four different stats you affect with your cards.
- UPGRADE CARDS!
In return for alleviating their suffering, they offer you new cards as well as their unique deck building abilities such as upgrading and duplicating cards or ways to manipulate the next day’s order of events.
- DEFEAT ENTITIES!
Before your arrival the villagers were at ominous forces’ mercy. Choose what entity you will try to slay and rid the village of its influence. Each of the four entites provides a unique win condition.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Studio
ALDAMAMI GAMES is a Berlin based indie games studio founded in mid-2024. From their work together in university emerged the prototype for BLOODLETTER. Building on the success of its nomination for the Young Talend Award: Best Prototype at the German Computer Game Awards 2024, the studio was founded and has since received funding from the Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg to turn BLOODLETTER into a full release.

DEHIVE
The DE:HIVE Game Incubator is an industry-specific incubator for games and playful experiences that are in the initial stages of development. The incubator constitutes an integral component of the entrepreneurship education for prospective teams from the GAME DESIGN degree programmes at DE:HIVE. The organisation employs a multifaceted approach, encompassing coaching, financial advice, the provision of studios and infrastructure facilities, and comprehensive service packages. Furthermore, the founders are provided with mentoring on the subjects of team building, brainstorming and the application process for funding.
